Another early morning here in my house has given me the motivation to write a new BLOG entry. It’s been about two years maybe since the last, and we have done so much and have come so far. My previous computer bit the dust, and writing entries on my phone was a disaster, and I would always end up losing my whole entry. Now I am back in action with a new computer, and an additional child. Three kids four and under has definitely been a challenge. Right now my little man; out newest addition is having his usual early morning grump fest, as I sit here and hope that my two year old Banana stays asleep in her crib for another few hours, and also hoping my oldest Monster doesn’t roll off my bed, since I jumped ship into the living room.

Now to get onto the good stuff, as you know my BLOG features the fun little adventures we have while doing our now titled “School Days”. Although Monster will be starting pre K in the fall, its free I’ll take it, she told me “Mommy when I get home from school, we will do Mommy school at Mommy’s house.” Okay kid, fine with me, so now I sit here during day time feeds and night time feeds pinning every resource I can find, and hand writing in a notebook (old school I know) a fun and easy curriculum that maybe I can pass down to Banana and Little Man. Although Banana is currently going through ABA after being diagnosed mildly autistic, I still plan on using our free time to do some fun little activities on our own. Plus I now have little man, and have been researching fun things for him as well. Between that and trying to keep up with house work and playing it has been hectic but enjoyable.  Currently I am working on the new school year, trying to rewind back to letter of the week for Banana, while adding in some pre k lessons for Monster. I have September through December outlined and just finished September’s full lesson plans.

To catch you up on some of the things we have done, this past school year we did a whole slew of themes, from outer space to our recent “trips” to Italy and Ponyville (you know where the My Little Pony’s live) it’s been a busy adventure. My goal for this BLOG is to start slowly getting back into writing about our learning adventures, in hopes that I can inspire someone to maybe to do the same with their little’s. Please ignore my terrible grammar, it’ not my thing hah, I think I need to hire an editor, ha.

So here are some of the activities we have recently done, I plan on really starting to BLOG in August when we start our new themes. This month we traveled the world, we learned a little about America, Africa, Italy, Japan, and this week Hawaii.  I am going to throw some pictures of our traveling through July month in this BLOG. For now it’s time for me to try to squeeze some me time in with a little Sailor Moon, or maybe some extra sleep. Yawn. Hope you enjoy! Look out for my next BLOG coming in August.

We Wish you a Merry Grinchmas

Its nice to finally sit down and write an entry, although I know in a few minutes I will either have a crying baby, or a grumpy toddler, so I have to make it quick. Cheerio the elf has been with us for over a week now, she hasn’t done anything too crazy. I am lucky enough where my daughter doesn’t expect big crazy things yet thankfully, because after bed time I am just too tired. The other night when Cheerio brought Grinchmas to us I was up till 1am helping that elf create a cute little Grinch day for my daughter.

My post is mainly to share our first holiday theme day with you, Grinchmas didn’t go as good as I had planned, maybe two is too young to really enjoy the Grinch, but we tried.

She woke up that morning to Cheerio sitting on our “fire place”, with a newly purchased Grinch book, the Grinch, and a cute little poster I had made to decorate later on in the day. She was excited about the book, but as soon as I tried to read it to her she lost interest, I think maybe its just too long of a book. Once I was finished, we had breakfast and I made Santa hats with bananas, strawberries, and cream. I was going to add grapes but for almost $4 a lb, Cheerio and Santa could not afford grapes to make the Grinch.

Afterwards we made Grinch hand prints, which went on the little sign I had made, which is still hanging above my “fire place”. Then it was time to start baking cookies, which of course was an all day project, and trying to get a two year old not to touch anything after touching the dough was fun too.

While we waited for the cookies to bake, I decided now was a good time to watch the Grinch, and it definitely worked out better because dinner took longer than expected.

Speaking of dinner, I found a recipe for Who Hash, and it tasted pretty good. Reminded me of breakfast. I made it with Potatoes, ham, peas, carrots, and onions. Turned out yummy, but a lot of work and by the time we sat down to eat it was almost 8pm.

It was a simple day, and I think she had fun.

My next planned day is on Friday, and we are doing Frosty. I have some fun ideas in mind which includes making homemade donuts.

Before I end my entry, here are some pictures from our Grinch day, hope you enjoy.
